International Congress of Alpine and Arctic Botanical Gardens (AABG 6)

The Slovenian Museum of Natural History and its Alpine Botanical Garden Juliana, which celebrates 100 years in 2026, organizes the 6th International Congress of Alpine and Arctic Botanical Gardens. The scheduled date is 10.–13. June 2027. The congress will be held at Dom Trenta, the Triglav National Park Information Centre, in the heart of the Trenta Valley in the Julian Alps. The programme includes a conference part, as well as excursions.

9 am–11 am: Arrival and Registration in Dom Trenta – Triglav National Park Information and Education Centre

11 am–1 pm / 3 pm–5 pm: Conference sessions in Dom Trenta
Friday, 11. June 2027
9 am–12 am: Conference sessions in Dom Trenta
2 pm–5 pm: Excursion to the Juliana Alpine Botanical Garden

Field excursion to the Julian Alps
Sunday, 13. June 2027
Excursion to Ljubljana: visit of the University Botanical Gardens Ljubljana and the Slovenian Museum of Natural History
