SUMMER MUSEUM NIGHT IN JULIANA
Saturday, 20 June 2026:
Juliana will also host its first Summer Museum Night. Admission to Juliana will be free between 18:00 and 20:00.
18:00 and 19:00: MAGICAL PLANTS IN JULIANA
On Midsummer Night, flowering plants are said to possess special powers, and some were believed to be used by witches. Which magical plants grow in Juliana? Do they really have magical properties?
20:00: THE WORLD OF INSECTS IN JULIANA
During the workshop, we will first explore the world of mosquitoes and learn some interesting facts about them. Tea Knapič, head of the invertebrate collection at the Slovenian Museum of Natural History, will introduce us to them.
Then, we will explore how insects perceive flowers under UV light. We will also set traps in the garden to attract mainly moths and observe them.
Garden admission is charged according to the price list; guided tours are free.
